Nawaz returning home to bolster the economy
PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed her father’s intention to return home in order to be with his people, not to settle scores with political foes.
She was speaking to a crowd on Thursday at Thokar Niaz Beg to rally people to welcome PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif when he returns on October 21 after a four-year exile that he imposed on himself.
According to Ms. Sharif, “Nawaz Sharif had strengthened the national economy in his previous administrations, and the nation advanced.” “This time, he’s coming to [show how to] rebuild the economy.”
Ms. Sharif claimed her father would rather bring people together and “mend hearts” than get retribution on anyone.

She claimed that following the removal of the PML-N leader “through a conspiracy” in 2017, the nation and its citizens suffered.
She asserted that since then, inflation had exploded and the economy had continued to suffer.
She mentioned the cheap pricing of necessities under her father’s administration as well as other developments in development and law and order.
She referred to the PTI’s administration from 2018 to 2022, calling it “a government of jokers” during which time leaders put political conflicts ahead of the needs of the populace.
She referred to the case of banned fundraising against PTI Chairman Imran Khan by saying that Nawaz Sharif “is the son of soil” and has neither been imported from elsewhere or launched by someone with “foreign funding.”
The PML-N lead organiser stated that “Nawaz Sharif has spent more time in exile than in power,” adding that there had been numerous efforts to destroy the tiger (PML-N’s electoral symbol), but these individuals themselves became part of history, while the tiger stayed standing unharmed.
She claimed that since Mr. Nawaz announced his comeback to the nation, the general public’s seven years of disappointment had started to transform into a glimmer of optimism.
This hope of the people is based on the fact that he consistently started a new phase of progress in the nation, and this time, he would live up to the people’s expectations.
Earlier on Friday, Shehbaz Sharif, a former prime minister, announced that the PML-N supreme leader would return to Pakistan as scheduled on October 21. He stated that after his arrival, his older brother would speak at a gathering at the Minar-i-Pakistan and “give an economic roadmap to steer the country out of crises.
