Pakistan Sees Drop in Battery Prices Following Decline in Solar Panel Costs
Following a decline in solar panel prices, consumers in Pakistan are experiencing relief as battery prices across the country have also witnessed a significant drop.
According to reports from the media, there has been a slight reduction in the prices of UPS and vehicle batteries compared to the previous year.
Traders have noticed a decrease in UPS battery prices, with the cost falling from Rs 38,000 to around Rs 33,000. Similarly, the price of a 110-volt battery, commonly used for powering two fans and lights, has decreased from Rs 23,000 to Rs 20,000.
Despite these price reductions, some individuals are still facing constraints in purchasing power, leading them to opt for older batteries due to ongoing affordability concerns.
While some traders attribute the stable prices over the past six months to fluctuations in the dollar rate, others argue that prices have remained unchanged during this period.
Nevertheless, batteries are now available at reduced prices in various locations, with sellers adjusting prices to stimulate sales amidst sluggish demand.
