Terrorists strike in Nushki, killing 11 people
In a heartbreaking occurrence that occurred in Nushki area of Balochistan, 11 people were shot dead by unidentified terrorists, nine of them were travelers from Punjab.
Approximately one kilometer distant from Nushki, at the steep area of Sultan Chadhai, over a dozen militants stopped the Quetta-Nushki-Taftan N-40 National Highway on Friday night, according to Nushki Deputy Commissioner Habibullah Musakhel.
The deputy commissioner stated that after closing the highway, the armed men began inspecting the cars and opened fire on one that would not stop. He further mentioned that the driver of that car was the brother of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Balochistan MPA Ghulam Dastgir Badini.
A tyre ruptured as a consequence of the fire, causing the car to topple and killing a relative of the MPA inside while injuring four others. At a hospital, one of the injured guys subsequently passed away from his wounds.
According to Musakhel, there was also an injured motorcyclist who was struck by gunfire.
A passenger bus traveling from Quetta to Taftan was also halted by the terrorists, said to a Nushki police official. They took nine people whose addresses were in Punjab after looking through the passengers’ CNICs.
The kidnapped individuals and the insurgents made their way to some nearby hills. Asad Mengal, the SHO for Nushki, reported that the nine people’s remains were subsequently discovered nearby beneath a bridge.They’d all been shot to death.
Wazirabad, Gujranwala, and Mandi Bahauddin were the guys that were killed. They were laborers, according to Nushki SP Allah Bukhsh, who had taken the bus from Quetta to Taftan.
According to Dr. Zafar Mengal of Nushki Teaching Hospital, the males who were killed had several gunshot wounds to their bodies.
Additionally, a Nushki Frontier Corps (FC) militia ordnance stockpile was targeted by the terrorists’ rocket fire. But there were no injuries or property damages as a result of this.
Police indicated that armed Baloch separatist groups could have carried out the attack. In order to find the suspects, they, the FC, and other security agencies launched a search operation in the region.
The chief minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, denounced the killings of defenseless passengers in Nushki and declared that the terrorists responsible for the atrocity would not be granted parole.
He declared that it was an inhumane and heinous act to murder passengers.
He said that the government will eradicate the threat of terrorism and find the terrorists who were murdering defenseless and innocent people.
Bugti stated that terrorists aimed to disrupt the peace in Balochistan. He also sent his sympathies to the victims’ families.
