Twenty pairs of shoes taken from the mosque at Parliament House
A source claims that on Friday, at least twelve people—including some journalists—had their shoes taken from the Parliament House mosque.
Worshippers were shocked to discover that their shoes were taken from the mosque after attending the Jumma prayers. It seems that the security officers who were supposed to be there at the time of the incident were absent.
In an attempt to identify the individual who stole the shoes from the worshipers, including the journalists, authorities are now reviewing CCTV video.
Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has taken note of the occurrence and requested a probe into the mosque’s security team’s negligence.
The Joint Secretary for Administration and the Sergeant at Arms will oversee the probe. The objective is to ascertain how the theft occurred and to stop it from occurring in the future.
