Pakistani Passport Now 100th
According to new rankings by Henley & Partners, the Pakistani passport is now at the 100th position, moving up from 113th in 2021. This means Pakistani passport holders can now visit 32 countries without a visa or get a visa on arrival.
Mustafa Jamal Qazi, the head of Immigration and Passports, congratulated the people of Pakistan and said this success was possible because of the strong support from Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the Secretary of Interior.
Pakistani Passport Now Ranked 100th in the World
Qazi explained that the government has added modern security features to passports. For example, e-passports now have NFC chips that can be scanned without touching. These features follow international rules and make the passport more respected around the world.
Qazi also shared that e-gates will soon be available at all big airports in Pakistan. These will help speed up immigration for people who have e-passports.
The department has also cleared all pending passport applications, and people are now getting their passports on time.
Passport offices have better facilities now, and they are giving faster and improved service.
Pakistan and the UAE have signed a deal to allow visa-free travel for each other’s citizens
For Pakistanis living abroad, online services are now available. With the “Passport Fee Asaan” app, people can pay passport fees quickly. A new app is also coming soon that will let people apply for passports from home.
Qazi said that with continued support from the government, the ranking of the Pakistani passport will keep getting better.
