Pakistani YouTubers Booked for Illegal Gambling
Pakistani YouTubers Face Legal Action Over Promotion of Illegal Apps and Online Gambling
Lahore – Pakistani authorities have registered cases against popular YouTubers Rajab Butt, Anas, and Huraria, following allegations that they promoted illegal apps and online gambling.
Officials from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) said investigations are ongoing and noted that all three YouTubers were issued notices three times but failed to respond. As a result, cases were formally registered against them, and measures are now underway to repatriate the accused to Pakistan.
A spokesperson for the NCCIA emphasized that strict action will continue against individuals involved in illegal investment schemes, gambling promotion, and other online scams.

In a separate but connected development, Lahore police arrested two suspects in connection with a shooting at Rajab Butt’s home, reported on Tuesday.
Authorities said the suspects admitted they attacked on instructions from a man identified as Shani Tiger. Investigations revealed that two others, Usman and Luqman, were also involved and were present in a vehicle during the shooting.
Police believe the incident stemmed from a recent online dispute between Rajab Butt and Shehzad Bhatti. According to officials, Shani Tiger acted on Bhatti’s request to target the YouTuber.
Authorities have indicated that investigations into both the cybercrime and shooting incidents are ongoing.
