Pashto folk singer Zarsanga living in a tent
Zarsanga is a Pashto singer from KPK. Her singing career was started from Radio Pakistan. She is also done with several television programs. Later on, she went to Europe, United States, and UAE.
Due to his prolonged career, she earned various titles. She is also known as “The Queen Of Pashtun Folklore”. Among all of her awards “Pride of performance” is a major achievement.
Pashto folk singer Zarsanga Bibi is now living in a tent. With about 200 family members. Where they have to pay Rs 15,000 as rent. Zarsanga has demanded the culture department to provide her with a residence. So that she can live peacefully along with dignity. The culture department took action to back to her official residence in Kohat district.

According to her, the pandemic has worsened living conditions for her family, which even forced her to beg. They have rented a shop in Kohat Bazaar where they have kept over 2,500 awards, certificates, and medals of the singer.
She appealed to President and Prime Minister. She said that “I just want a piece of the plot where I could feel proud that my contributions fetched me at least a state-given shelter at this stage and age have no other wish”.
Further elaborated that she would never leave Pakistan despite her current situation and the disappointing attitude of relevant authorities. As she had got various offers from several countries and she rejected all of them as a proud Pakistani.
