Islamabad – Fuel prices in Pakistan are expected to go up once again, with petrol likely to see an increase of Rs1.54 per litre from September 16, 2025.

Initial calculations for the revised rates have been finalised, and a summary will soon be forwarded to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for approval. The new prices will be announced after the prime minister’s nod and will immediately come into effect.

The pricing adjustment is being worked out by the Ministry of Petroleum in consultation with the Ministry of Finance, as part of the routine fortnightly review of fuel prices.
