PIA Cadet Pilot Program Launched to Boost International Flights
PIA Launches Cadet Pilot Program to Support International Flights
July 29, 2025 – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has started a new hiring drive to recruit cadet pilots and experienced commercial pilots. This move is part of its plan to restart flights to Europe and the UK.
PIA will select cadet pilots for a two-year contract, giving them a chance to begin their flying careers with the national airline. To apply, candidates must have at least 200 flying hours and a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
As part of the program, selected candidates will need to submit a $15,000 bond to show their commitment and follow PIA’s flying rules.
In addition to cadet pilots, 20 experienced commercial pilots will also be hired immediately to help with flight operations. Interested candidates must submit their applications to PIA’s HR department within 15 days of the job posting.
This recruitment is linked to an earlier hiring drive for First Officer positions, which received nearly 300 applications, showing strong interest in aviation jobs in Pakistan.
The hiring effort supports PIA’s plan to restore its fleet and resume direct Boeing 777 flights to London, Manchester, and Paris. The cadet pilot program is expected to help PIA grow and offer better services in the future.
