Kashmir Martyrs’ Day
Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control. The entire world are observing Kashmir Martyrs’ Day today to honor the July 13, 1931 martyrs.
As per the Radio Pakistan report, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has urged Kashmiris to observe the day with a complete shutdown in the Indian-occupied Kashmir.
On July 13, 1931, Dogra Maharaja’s forces murdered 22 Kashmiris one after. On the other outside Srinagar’s Central Jail during court hearings against Abdul Qadeer, who had encouraged the Kashmiri people to oppose Dogra rule. As a result, 22 young people gave their lives to ensure the completion of Azaan.
Today will also see a march to the Martyrs’ Graveyard at Naqashband Sahib in Srinagar. In that place, where the martyrs of July 13 have interred.
In a statement issued in Srinagar, an APHC spokeswoman stated that the shutdown and march have designed to convey a message to the world that Kashmiris will never tolerate Indian dominance.
