Prince William Reflects on Prince George’s Future and His Relationship with Harry
In a candid moment on the latest episode of The Reluctant Traveler, the Prince of Wales opened up about his hopes for his son, Prince George, and shared insights on his past with his younger brother, Prince Harry.
“There are lots of things to think about with that,” William told Eugene Levy during the October 3 Apple TV+ episode.
The future king emphasized his desire to shape a meaningful legacy for his son. “I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do, a world and a job that actually does impact people’s lives for the better,” he said.
Reflecting on his own upbringing, William added, “That is caveated with, I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past, that Harry and I had to grow up in – and I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”
His rare mention of Harry comes amid the brothers’ well-documented estrangement following Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back as senior royals in 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now reside in California with their children, 6-year-old Prince Archie and 4-year-old Princess Lilibet.
