Rawalpindi Police Enforce 'No Helmet, No Petrol' Policy 1604 Challans in 24 Hours

The police in Rawalpindi prevented proprietors of gas stations from fueling up motorcycles without helmets.

There is no leniency for motorcycle riders without helmets across Punjab, especially in Rawalpindi. A zero-tolerance policy of no helmet, no petrol has been adopted.

The district administration and police officials say that head injury can be fatal even in a minor accident. If you value your life, then you must uphold the law.

CTO Rawalpindi Taimur Khan says that this initiative will make people realize that helmets are necessary to save lives.

He advised everyone to wear helmets and present identification as responsible, law-abiding citizens.

According to police authorities, covert surveillance is ongoing, and driving without a helmet will have serious consequences both on the road and at petrol stations.

In the last 24 hours, 1604 motorcyclists have been issued challans for not wearing helmets.

On the other hand, the owners of the filling station say that they are implementing the decree that has come, they do not give petrol even to government employees without helmets, they are 100% implementing the administration’s decree.
