Saudi Arabia Gears Up for 95th National Day Celebrations
RIYADH – Saudi Arabia will mark its 95th National Day with nationwide celebrations, honoring the historic 1932 decree of King Abdulaziz that united Nejd and Hejaz to form the modern Saudi state.
The Kingdom first observed National Day in 1965 under King Faisal, and it became a permanent public holiday following a royal decree by King Abdullah in 2005.
This year’s festivities carry the theme “Our Pride is in Our Nature,” highlighting Saudi Arabia’s cultural traditions, values, and natural heritage. According to the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), the theme reflects qualities deeply rooted in Saudi society, including hospitality, courage, generosity, dignity, and resilience.
Beyond celebration, the occasion also serves as a moment of reflection on the Kingdom’s progress under Vision 2030. Over the years, Saudi Arabia has shifted from planning to large-scale execution, with major projects reshaping the economy and paving the way for sustainable growth.
The Kingdom has expanded its footprint in renewable energy, technology, tourism, culture, and sports—positioning itself as both a global investment hub and a center for innovation and entrepreneurship.
