Transforming Workforce Saudi-Pakistan Collaboration for Skilled Workers & Economic Growth

Saudi Arabia plans to set up a modern university in Pakistan to train skilled workers needed for its upcoming projects. The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development is suggesting a special quota for Pakistani workers for NEOM and other projects in Saudi Arabia.

This move strengthens the partnership between the two countries in their efforts to boost their economies. Training Pakistani workers to meet Saudi Arabia’s growing job market needs is a key focus.

The Ministry also wants collaboration between the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad, the Consulate General in Karachi, and Pakistani authorities to help new job agencies enter the Saudi market.

The visit by a high-level delegation aims to align Pakistan’s workforce with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan. This plan aims to reduce Saudi Arabia’s dependence on oil and improve sectors like healthcare, education, and tourism.
