Schoolchildren Create the Smallest Humanoid Robot in History, Standing 5.5 Inches Tall
Four members of the robotics team at Diocesan Boys’ School in Hong Kong have accomplished a remarkable feat of engineering. They have managed to develop the smallest humanoid robot in the world, surpassing the previous record held by Zain Ahmad Qureshi of Pakistan in 2022.
This robot is 11.3 mm (0.44 in) shorter than a typical ballpoint pen, standing at 141 mm (5.55 in).
In addition to being able to walk on two feet, the robot needs to be able to articulate its elbows, knees, hips, and shoulders in order to break this record.
