Shehbaz Sharif to Announce Power Tax Relief for Businesses
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will soon announce relief in power tariffs and taxes for business community, Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Industries and Production said in a meeting today.
“A package will be introduced to revive sick industrial units”. He said that the revival of sick industrial units will help generate jobs.
“Finance Minister has also assured us relief in the export refinance scheme,” the special assistant said. He said irregularities in taxation will also be addressed.
Special Assistant further mentioned that his efforts will also focus on ensuring access to credit and long-term financing for businesses.
Haroon Akhtar said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has lauded several steps taken by the government in the last year.
