Silent Hill f Out September 25

Silent Hill Set to Haunt Players on September 25

Fans of the iconic horror franchise have reason to be excited: Silent Hill is officially set to release on September 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This marks the first full original entry in the series since Silent Hill: The Short Message.

For those picking up the Standard Edition, the game will take up 36.637 GB, with pre-loading opening on September 23, two days before launch. Players who opt for the Deluxe Edition will get an even earlier start: pre-loading begins September 21, with full access on September 23. The Deluxe Edition also gives players the chance to complete Silent Hill f’s season 3 before Standard Edition owners can even start.

Hollow Knight: Silksong launch BREAKS the internet

Expected to take 12 to 13 hours to complete, Silent Hill is one of the longer entries in the franchise. Despite this, its file size is modest compared to other recent AAA releases—on PlayStation 5, it’s much smaller than Ghost of Tsushima (85 GB) or Helldivers 2 on PC (140 GB). File sizes for Xbox Series X|S and PC have not yet been confirmed.

This installment also moves away from the series’ usual Maine setting, transporting players to the fictional Japanese town of Ebisugaoka, bringing a fresh Eastern horror vibe to the series.

Producer Motoi Okamoto has confirmed that the game will focus more on action and melee combat, with early previews comparing it to a soulslike experience.

With file size, pre-load dates, and the release date now confirmed, it’s officially time for fans to count down the days until Silent Hill f arrives.
