Sindh Makes Teaching License Mandatory for All Teachers
Sindh Starts Licensing System for Teachers
KARACHI – Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said on Tuesday that all teachers in the province must now get a license to work. He was speaking at a ceremony in Karachi.
He called this step a “revolutionary move” to improve the quality of education and to make teachers more responsible. “Every teacher has to get the license now,” he said.
The Chief Minister shared that in the first test, only 650 out of 4,000 teachers passed. He said this shows how important it is to check teacher quality.
Murad Ali Shah also said that this new licensing system will be expanded to private schools and special education centers.
He said licensed teachers will now be treated like other professionals, such as doctors and engineers.
The Chief Minister said his government is working hard to bring the education system up to international standards. The new teacher test is based on merit and fairness.
He praised the efforts of his team and said that real education reform is only possible when teachers are involved. “Teachers are the heart of education reforms,” he added.
