Is Manchester United going to have Mauricio Pochettino as their manager?

For a while now, there have been discussions regarding replacing Eric Ten Hag as manager of Manchester United in order to provide room for potential candidates in light of the English team’s poor season-ending performance in the FA Cup.

According to a report from ESPN that cited sources, Old Trafford’s performance under the 54-year-old coach Eric Ten Hag is being questioned, and his position is under threat.

The Red Devils have their worst-ever Premier League finish, and they must upset Manchester City on Saturday at Wembley in order to go to the European Cup.

According to reports, the proprietors of Ineos are thinking about whose names would be best suited to take Ten Hag’s position. Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel are among the names.

The two managers have stepped down from their roles at the football teams they oversee.

Bayern Munich recently let go of Thomas Tuchel, and Chelsea fired Mauricio Pochettino earlier this week.

The outlet’s report also claims that Brentford manager Thomas Frank and Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna are on the list.

The summary stated: “Informal discussions have been held with representatives of all four of those potential candidates.”

According to the sources: “McKenna, who has guided Ipswich back to the Premier League following back-to-back promotions after taking over in December 2021, worked as an assistant to former United managers Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and he would be excited by the opportunity to return to Old Trafford.”
