Rank Four in T20I Batting Rankings for Babar Azam
In the latest update to the ICC T20I batters rankings, Babar Azam has moved up to the fourth spot with 763 rating points. This rise comes after he amassed remarkable back-to-back half-centuries (57 and 66 runs) in the first two T20I series matches against New Zealand. Even with Babar’s outstanding performances, Pakistan lost both matches.
With 775 rating points, Mohammad Rizwan, meanwhile, remained third in the rankings despite his two opening matches against New Zealand results of 25 and 7. Phil Salt is ranked second with 802 rating points, behind India’s Suryakumar Yadav, who continues to dominate the rankings with 869 points.
Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved a notable breakthrough when he hit an astounding 68 off 34 balls against Afghanistan, moving him up seven spots to the sixth position (739 rating points). He is not far behind Aiden Markram, who has 755 rating points and is in fifth place.
Regarding bowling, Haris Rauf continued to be the highest-ranked bowler from Pakistan, moving up two spots to 14th place with 634 rating points. His outstanding performance—he took five wickets in the first two games against New Zealand—is the reason for his promotion. However, Shadab Khan dropped four spots to 25th after missing the New Zealand series, and Shaheen Afridi fell one spot to 24th with 600 rating points.
