WHAT IS STRESS?

Stress is your body’s reaction when you are annoyed, frustrated or angry. It can also be physical or emotional tension. Your body can also react against a challenge or demand. However, stress isn’t always bad for you. It can also be positive as when it helps you avoid danger or meet a deadline.

HOW TO IDENTIFY STRESS?

People, in stress, show unusual changes in their actions or behavior. These changes make it easier to identify if they are stressed or not. Some of them are mentioned below:

  • They are unable to concentrate or make simple decisions.
  • They become depressed and highly anxious.
  • As a result of depression, they become pessimistic.
  • They get easily irritated at at small matters.
  • They starts lacking confidence and nervousness takes over.
  • People start facing little or no sleep at all.
  • Aggression is also another sign.
  • No time for relaxation or pleasurable activities.

WHAT ARE THE CAUSES

Feelings of stress are normally triggered by things happening in your life which involve:

  • being under lots of pressure
  • facing big changes
  • worrying about something
  • not having much or any control over the outcome of a situation
  • having responsibilities that you’re finding overwhelming
  • not having enough work, activities or change in your life
  • times of uncertainty

PREVENTION

Like anything else, stress prevention is also possible. It just depends on what way you choose. Some people like listening to songs. Others like to be in a quiet place. Many people work out to make themselves feel relaxed. Some of them like to play games in order to distract themselves. Depending on your body type, you have to choose the steps you want to take.
