Users of the well-known artificial intelligence (AI) chatbotChatGPT took to social media to inquire about similar problems after the AI chatbot experienced a worldwide disruption in service.
OpenAI’s AI product went down in the UK at 8 a.m.local time, with reports of service disruptions appearing at 10 a.m.
After a while, the San Francisco-based startup acknowledged that something was wrong and that it was trying to fix it.It had swiftly taken notice of the situation and stated that it was looking into it.
OpenAI announced it was looking into the problem as soon as it was noticed on its service status page. It claimed to have found the issue by 8.30 am, but it was still working on a solution.
The timeline on the company’s website showed that it had identified the problem and subsequently declared it to be fixed.
According to the Microsoft-backed company, the generative AI chatbot was introduced in late 2022 and has over 100 million weekly users as of right now.
The outage occurs weeks after Microsoft experienced problems with several of its services, including ChatGPT and Copilot, worldwide.
