we are currently in the era where everything is computerized; easily accessible via mobile phone which increases the demand for mobile operating systems. Firstly, The main focus of this article is the complete analysis of different mobile operating system including; technical, performance, specification, market, security and programming language. As we all know that there are many mobile operating systems but for this article; my main focus will be on the following top five; ANDROID, IOS, WINDOWS PHONE, SYMBIAN, and BLACKBERRY OS. This article contains information about these mobile operating systems with full comparisons study.

Importance of Mobile Operating system:

Secondly, Smartphones are the reason for a great boost in communication like; voice communication, messaging, personal information management and wireless communication capability. The sudden spike or increase in mobiles or smartphones; also increased the demand and supply of different operating system for mobile. Furthermore, The mobile OS is a piece of fundamental software; for any smartphone and acts as an interface or border between hardware and applications. A mobile OS also determines essential features or characteristics with regard; to performance, security, technical, specification, market, programming language and applications available to the user with respect to the smartphone. The complete analysis on the basis of the above-mentioned attributes.

Thirdly, The resource manager is the main definition of an OS. An Operating system (OS) handles all hardware & software resources of the Computer. It is the software that provides the base upon which applications or programs can be run effectively on mobile phones, smartphones, tablets and handheld devices. Fourthly, The main focus of this report is the complete analysis of different mobile OS including technical, performance, specification, market, security and programming language. As we all know that there are many mobile operating systems but for this report, my main focus will be on the following top five: ANDROID, IOS, WINDOWS PHONE, SYMBIAN, and BLACKBERRY OS. This report contains information about these mobile operating systems with full comparisons study.

ANDROID OS:

Android (Actually Nothing Distinct; Really Only iPhone Duplication is an open-source operating system developed by Open Handset Alliance; which was led by Google and was released on 23rd September 2008. It is based on a LINUX 2.6 kernel and is an upgraded version of it. Moreover, it belongs to the family of UNIX.

IOS:

IOS (iPhone Operating System) is proprietary software developed by Apple Incorporation; for apple smartphone like iPhone, I tabs etc. It is derived from OS (X) BSD released on June 29 2007. Moreover, iOS mobile OS is; extended using the Mac OS X operating system of Apple Inc.

WINDOW PHONE Operating System:

It was an operating system developed by Microsoft Corporation; but was discontinued just after 6 weeks of its initial release and is based on a family of Microsoft Windows.

SYMBIAN OS:

Next is The discontinued mobile proprietary operating system for smartphones developed by Nokia Belle released on 5th June 1997. This mobile OS acts as a middleware with the transmission of wireless signals using an integrated mailbox and the integration of Java and personal information management feature. It was the biggest collaboration between software and mobile manufacturing companies; the foundation shattered in late 2010 and only Nokia managed to control the development of the OS.

BLACKBERRY Operating System:

Lastly, BlackBerry OS is a proprietary mobile operating system developed by Canadian company BlackBerry Limited for its BlackBerry line of smartphone handheld devices. Moreover, Research In Motion introduced BlackBerry OS for its deployment in the company’s most popular BlackBerry phone which was popular with corporate group users as it provides compatibility with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino and other business software. BlackBerry 10 released made this operating system discontinued.
