Waqas Maqsood Reflects on Pakistan Career After Brief International Stint
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has highlighted the international journey of pacer Waqas Maqsood, who made a solitary appearance for the national team in T20 cricket. The 37-year-old played his lone match in November 2018 against New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Maqsood became the 80th player to represent Pakistan in T20Is, leaving his mark by taking two crucial wickets in just 1.5 overs. He dismissed Lockie Ferguson and Seth Rance in the span of five balls, finishing with impressive figures of 2-21.
Born in Faisalabad, Maqsood enjoyed a solid domestic career, featuring in 81 first-class, 56 List A, and 68 T20 matches between 2011 and 2023. In first-class cricket, he claimed 294 wickets, while adding 87 and 77 wickets in List A and T20 formats, respectively.
