President Zardari Urges Serene Air to Expand Fleet, Boost Connectivity
During a high-level meeting, President Asif Ali Zardari encouraged Serene Air to expand its fleet, aiming to strengthen both domestic and international air connectivity across Pakistan.
The meeting was attended by key dignitaries, including Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, and the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, the President’s Secretariat Press Wing said in a statement.
Dr. Yang, founder and president of a listed Chinese semiconductor company with subsidiaries in Sweden and the U.S., expressed his commitment to further invest in Serene Air’s operations in Pakistan. Holding a Ph.D. from the University of California, Dr. Yang leads the first Chinese private investment in Pakistan’s aviation sector. Serene Air also became the first private Pakistani airline to operate flights to Beijing.
Additionally, Dr. Yang highlighted ongoing collaborative projects between his company and the Pakistan Air Force, including work on JF-17 avionics systems.
