Mehwish Hayat ‘disappointed’ over recent event in Islamabad
The government confirmed the third wave of coronavirus in Pakistan. Educational institutions of all grades in seven cities of Punjab and Peshawar and Islamabad will be closed for two weeks from Monday, keeping in view the resurgence of Covid-19 cases.
According to Radio Pakistan, the cities include Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Gujrat, Sialkot, Multan, and Rawalpindi. However, despite the rising cases, a three-day culinary and musical event titled Taste Test was organized in Islamabad. The event saw performances from aspiring musicians and noted celebrities.
But Mehwish Hayat recently took to Twitter and expressed her displeasure over the event. “This is very disappointing! To be having live concerts with so many people while we are still not free of COVID-19…” the Punjab Nahi Jaungi star tweeted. “Cases are on the rise again, and we are experiencing a deadly third wave. Let us, please act responsibly.”
