Hindu right-wing leader: Pakistani artists will not be allowed to return to Bollywood, Regarding Atif Aslam’s comeback
Once again, the ugly head of inhospitality has reared its ugly head dis India, this time with Atif Aslam’s Bollywood comeback as its target. Several Indian media agencies, including Mid Day and India TV News, have stated that Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has advised Bollywood producers not to welcome the well-known Pakistani singer back to Hindi cinema.
MNS Cinema Wing President Ameya Khopkar emphasized that people who plan to use Aslam in their productions because of a court verdict should reevaluate their choices and be reminded of their stance. “Artists from Pakistan will not be accepted here.” Never. It is regrettable that we must reiterate ourselves, but allow me to reiterate.
Khopar went on to say, “This was and will remain the stand of MNS,” restating the party’s resolute opposition to the involvement of Pakistani artists in Indian ventures. not limited to Bollywood. I issue a challenge to the Indian language industry to include any performers from Pakistan in their productions. A word of advice: DO NOT accept this challenge by mistake.”
Khopkar, who is well-known for being against the December 2022 release of the Pakistani movie The Legend of Maula Jatt, also took aim at singer Arijit Singh, who is purportedly backing Aslam. The MNS leader cautioned against taking up this challenge and urged industries all across India to avoid working with Pakistani artists.
This is in response to rumors that Aslam has been chosen to write the soundtrack for the 90s movie Love Story. Sangani Brothers Motion Pictures is producing the next film, while Dharmesh and Haresh Sangani are producing it. Amit Kasaria, the director, stars Adhyayan Suman opposite Miss Universe Diva, Divita Rai.
Producers and distributors Haresh and Dharmesh Sangani released an official statement expressing their happiness that Aslam is back after a seven-year absence. They were thrilled to announce that Aslam had contributed a vocal to the movie’s opening track. With great pride, the producers announced the singer’s Bollywood comeback through their film, fully expecting the singer’s fans to respond with tremendous enthusiasm.
