Discover Pakistan's Rich Tourism Gems Highlights from MATTA Malaysia Tourism Fair 2024

The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) collaborated with five private tour operator companies to showcase Pakistan’s diverse and rich tourism offerings at the prestigious MATTA Malaysia Tourism Fair 2024.

The Pakistan pavilion was inaugurated by Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Malaysia, marking the beginning of the country’s participation in this biannual event held from 22nd to 24th March in Kuala Lumpur.

The MATTA Malaysia Tourism Fair is a significant event in the tourism industry, attracting a massive crowd of over 180,000 visitors on each occasion.

Aftab ur Rehman Rana, the Managing Director of PTDC, expressed his excitement and commitment towards representing Pakistan at the MATTA Malaysia Tourism Fair 2024.

He stated, “We are delighted to represent Pakistan on this esteemed platform. The MATTA Fair offers an unparalleled opportunity to showcase Pakistan’s diverse and rich tourism offerings to the international community.

Pakistan as a Preferred Tourist

We are dedicated to promoting Pakistan as a preferred tourist destination and believe that our participation will significantly strengthen bilateral tourism relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.”

The Pakistan pavilion at the fair was designed to highlight the country’s various tourist attractions, including its breathtaking natural landscapes, historical sites, cultural heritage spots, and adventure tourism opportunities.

The display aimed to capture the essence of Pakistan’s unique tourist destinations and cultural richness, attracting the attention of a wide range of visitors, including travel agents, tour operators, and travel enthusiasts.

Many visitors at the fair expressed a keen interest in exploring Pakistan’s tourist spots, experiencing its cultural heritage, and understanding the diverse offerings of the country’s tourism sector.
