Man Arrested for Impersonating an Accused in Court

During a court hearing, an unexpected twist unfolded when a man appeared in place of the accused. Shahid Karim admitted to the court that he was not the real defendant, Bilal Khan, but had come on his friend’s behalf.

Karim told the judge that Bilal Khan had asked him to appear in his place, assuring him that “nothing would happen.”

The court, presided over by Additional District and Sessions Judge Jahangir Awan, immediately ordered Karim’s arrest for impersonation.

The hearing concerned Bilal Khan’s pre-arrest bail plea. Since the required surety bonds were not provided, the court dismissed the bail application and issued orders for Khan’s arrest.
