Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the "Friends" finale is Courtney Cox

The one where twenty years have passed…

Friends aired its last episode on Monday, May 6, 2024, marking the 20th anniversary of the popular sitcom’s ten-year run.

Courtney Cox, who portrayed Monica Geller in the venerable television series, celebrated the momentous occasion on Instagram.

The 59-year-old actress released the very last clip from “The One Where They Say Goodbye,” the series finale episode.

“I don’t know how we were able to act through all the tears,” she captioned the photo, stating that it has been 20 years since the Friends series finale. Always appreciative

As they recorded the final scene, the entire cast was obviously upset, and this was mirrored in the feelings of their respective characters.

As the new parents get ready to relocate to the suburbs, the six friends—played by Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry—stand in Monica and Chandler’s empty apartment.

“Do you guys have to go to the new house right away, or do you have some time?” sniffles a tearful-eyed Rachel. Monica responds, “We got time,” to this.

Then Rachel offers their standard response, “Okay, shall we get some coffee?”

Chandler, portrayed by the late Matthew Perry, responds “sure” before quipping, “where?” as the pals leave the flat.
