ISLAMABAD – A team of Pakistani students has won one Gold, one Silver, and two Bronze medals at an international competition on nuclear science.

The event was held from July 30 to August 5 and was organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Students from 19 countries took part, including China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Türkiye, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

Medal Winners from Pakistan:
Gold Medal – Muhammad Tayyab Bukhari (Abbottabad)

Silver Medal – Ammar Asad Warraich (Islamabad)

Bronze Medals – Rawah Javed (Islamabad) and Tatheer Aima Naqvi (Jhang)

The team was trained by Dr. Sajjad Tahir from the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) and Dr. Muhammad Maqsood from the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC).

This great achievement shows the talent of Pakistani youth in nuclear science and the efforts of PIEAS and PAEC to support young scientists. It also shows Pakistan’s growing role in international science events and peaceful uses of nuclear science in education, health, farming, and industry.
