No Bids Received as Shahrah-e-Faisal Commercial Plot Goes Unsold
Karachi – The much-anticipated auction of a commercial plot on Shahrah-e-Faisal failed to attract any investors, sources confirmed on Monday.
The official assignee of the Sindh High Court had earlier invited sealed bids through public notices in newspapers. Despite the efforts, no offers were submitted by the September 4, 2025, deadline.
The auction is part of a Supreme Court directive aimed at compensating allottees affected by the demolition of Nasla Tower. The reserve price for the plot had been set at Rs 811.2 million. The site, designated for commercial use, is approved for a basement plus ground and nine-storey building.
Nasla Tower was demolished in 2021 following a Supreme Court order after it was found to have been illegally constructed on a service road. In April 2024, the apex court directed the sale of the plot to provide restitution to the affected residents.
