Sindh Accelerates Digital Property Transfers and Expands NADRA Services

Karachi – In a major move toward digital governance, the Sindh government has announced plans to streamline property transfers and expand NADRA services across the province. The decision follows a high-level meeting between Chief Secretary Sindh, Dr. Asif Haider Shah, and a delegation from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

Dr. Shah emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to digitalization, noting that Sindh is actively transitioning toward online property transfer systems. Both NADRA and the Sindh government agreed to strengthen cooperation on digital transformation, with a particular focus on reaching rural communities.

As part of the plan, NADRA counters will be expanded to all union councils of Karachi. Mayor Murtaza Wahab confirmed this during the inauguration of an upgraded registration centre at Babar Market in Landhi.

Mega centres are also under development in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulberg, and Surjani Town. These facilities will feature modern amenities, including wheelchair access, increased seating, and enhanced service counters to improve the citizen experience.

In addition, passport processing counters have been set up at NADRA mega centres in Nazimabad and SITE, while new passport offices have opened in Karachi’s Central and Western districts. These measures are part of a wider initiative by the Ministry of Interior to make passport issuance and registration services more efficient.

NADRA Launches Upgraded Pak ID Mobile App

In a related development, NADRA has launched the Pak ID Mobile App Version 5.0.0, introducing several citizen-friendly features. The updated app offers a refined dashboard, faster identity card cancellation, and improved search functionality.

To ensure accessibility, all app features are now labeled in both English and Urdu, making it easier for users in rural areas to navigate the system.
