Users of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp might not be fond of Meta AI

Recently, the well-known messaging service WhatsApp added a new tab called Meta AI to its UI. This tab has an artificial intelligence chatbot, however not all of its users are fond of this new feature.

The AI search bar was introduced to Meta’s social media platforms (which also include Facebook and Instagram) in an attempt to get people to choose the company’s chatbot over OpenAI’s ChatGPT or any other app.

Meta just released Llama 3, an open-source large language model (LLM) that powers the chatbot.

Because you cannot turn off Meta’s AI chatbot, all you can do is ignore it if you choose not to utilize it.

Removing is only possible if Meta takes action.

Meta AI aims to be a helpful assistant and is in the search bar to assist with your questions,” Meta stated in a statement that Mashable reported. Although you are unable to turn it off during this session, you can search as usual to get a range of results.”

The Menlo Park-based business saw a sharp decline in share price, wiping out over $120 billion from the market, as Facebook’s parent company planned to invest a significant sum on artificial intelligence.
