Anne Hathaway Has a Tumble on ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Set in NYC
New York – Filming for the highly anticipated sequel to The Devil Wears Prada is in full swing, but Anne Hathaway, reprising her role as Andy Sachs, had a little mishap on set on Wednesday. The actor stumbled down a flight of stairs when the block heel of her sandal snapped, sending her tumbling.
Onlookers and fans got a glimpse of the moment through photos circulating online. Hathaway, dressed in a beige plaid blouse, a black pleated skirt, and strappy heels, quickly recovered and assured everyone, “I’m fine!”
It’s unclear whether the fall was an accidental slip or part of the film’s script.
Hathaway joins original cast members Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, who are all returning as Miranda Priestly, Emily Charlton, and Nigel Kipling, respectively, nearly two decades after the first movie’s release.
The sequel also features a star-studded lineup including Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Pauline Chalamet, Justin Theroux, Simone Ashley, Rachel Bloom, B.J. Novak, and Kenneth Branagh. Directed by David Frankel, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to hit theaters in May 2026.
