Salman Khan talks candidly about stardom: “I have never felt like a superstar”
Salman Khan, the megastar of Bollywood, recently stated in an interview that he doesn’t think he deserves the title of “superstar” and that he is reluctant to accept it. Salman maintains a grounded attitude to stardom despite the recent success of his most recent picture, Tiger 3, which debuted on November 12 and is doing well at the box office and has established a reputation and fan base synonymous with an empire.
Salman challenged the idea of being a “superstar,” saying, “I have never felt that way,” in an interview with IndiaToday.in. Never in my life have I felt like a superstar. My lifestyle is not that of a famous person. There’s nothing about the way I travel or dress that screams superstar. That’s not how my thinking works.”
“Nothing about me is superstarry,” he stated, underscoring the point even more. Nothing at all. Salman Khan isn’t a superstar in my opinion. It’s all nonsense. I’ve never experienced it. All I want is to get out of bed in the morning, have a cup of coffee, and go about my day. All I want to do is try my hardest.”
Salman, who is well-known for his easygoing and modest demeanor, emphasized that he is pleased with life’s basic joys and is not bothered by the trappings that come with being a “superstar”. His grounded style, in both public appearances and private decisions, reaffirms his dedication to genuineness in a field where extravagant personas are the norm.
The actor sticks to his modest style, frequently seen in laid-back attire at Bollywood gatherings, parties, and even red carpet events. Salman distinguished himself even during the several Diwali celebrations this month by sticking to his classic denim style rather than the ostentatious outfits typically associated with Bollywood actors.
The actor also discussed the origins of the hugely successful Tiger franchise, which started with the movie Ek Tha Tiger, in the same interview. “I heard the narration at my farm, and it was about 2:30 in the afternoon,” he said, recalling the project’s beginnings. After hearing the synopsis and the entire script, I felt it was well written. I have never worked with YRF (Yash Raj Films) before. Our dads were quite close to one other.”
Salim Khan, a seasoned scriptwriter, is Salman’s father, while Aditya Chopra, the late Yash Chopra’s son, is the director-producer of YRF.
As Salman persists in challenging the traditional standards of celebrity, his honest and raw viewpoint strikes a chord with followers, solidifying his position not only as a Bollywood legend but also as a genuine and approachable figure in the business
