A day after postponing her remaining Las Vegas residency dates due to a family emergency, singer Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away on Thursday, August 7. A representative for Blackstock’s family confirmed his death to several international outlets, revealing he had been privately battling cancer for over three years.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away,” the representative said. “Brandon bravely fought cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.”
