Two Pakistanis have been taken into custody by Saudi law enforcement during an operation against drug dealers in the Madinah area, according to a Tuesday report from Geo News, which quoted Saudi media.

The suspects have reportedly been turned over to the public prosecution following the conclusion of the legal proceedings, according to the Saudi media. They were apprehended for the meth trade.

In response to a statewide drive on drug dealers and traffickers, Saudi Arabia has arrested a number of people.

The attempts to transport drugs hidden in baggage via multiple ports were thwarted on Tuesday by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.

356,559 more drug tablets were discovered in a consignment at Jeddah Islamic Port Customs, while 93,750 more drug tablets were discovered concealed in products on a truck that was trying to enter the Kingdom through Duba Port. 201,600 Captagon pills were found in a vehicle’s floor hollow at the Al-Haditha port.

In order to apprehend the seven suspects to whom the cargo was supposed to be transferred, the Customs Authority made contact with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control.

Two drug dealers, one from Pakistan and the other from the Philippines, were apprehended by the General Directorate of Narcotics Control in Jeddah. The item they were attempting to sell was 2.6 kg of meth.

In a another incident, a Pakistani national was apprehended by law enforcement in Hafr Al-Batin city for attempting to sell meth.
