Terrorists implicated in the judge’s kidnapping are killed by security forces

In a combined intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Tank district, security forces have executed terrorists implicated in the recent kidnapping of the district and sessions judge of South Waziristan, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Thursday.

Monday saw the safe return of District and Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat, who was kidnapped by armed individuals on the boundary of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa one day earlier.

According to the authorities, the judge’s safe return was made possible by an operation that security officers carried out last night in the DI Khan neighborhood of Kulachi.

They’d said Judge Marwat was doing quite great just now.

Armed men from the hamlet of Bagwal, which is on the boundary between Tank and DI Khan, abducted the judge.

Security forces carried out a combined IBO in the Tank district on May 2 (today) in response to reports of terrorist activity, according to a statement released by the military’s media wing today.

The statement went on, “Three terrorists were successfully neutralized and sent to hell during the conduct of the operation, following an intense fire exchange.”

The terrorists were named by the ISPR as Rehan, ringleader Karamat alias Hanzla, and ringleader Azmat alias Azmati.

The statement said, “The terrorists who were killed continued to be actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area, including the recent abduction of the District and Sessions Judge of South Waziristan District.”

The ISPR further stated that the security forces are still committed to removing the threat of terrorism from the nation.
