DiCaprios Film Scores 96%
Leonardo DiCaprio’s Comeback Film ‘One Battle After Another’ Wins Early Critical Praise
Even before hitting theaters later this month, Leonardo DiCaprio’s highly anticipated comeback film One Battle After Another is making waves with critics and fans alike. The action thriller, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, has already secured a glowing 96% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.
One reviewer hailed it as “an insanely great action movie,” calling Anderson’s work “an extraordinary crackerjack of a film that feels right on time.” Another added that parts of the film are “so absurdly funny they blur the line between life and art,” praising the ensemble cast as “nothing short of sensational.”
Echoing similar admiration, a critic described the movie as “cinema at its purest — uncompromising, exhilarating, and alive. Anderson has given us a masterpiece that doesn’t just entertain but rattles the bones.”
The film, loosely adapted from Thomas Pynchon’s postmodern novel Vineland, follows a group of former revolutionaries who reunite 16 years later to face an old enemy and rescue the daughter of one of their own.
Alongside DiCaprio, the star-studded cast includes Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti. The movie runs 162 minutes and is slated for worldwide release on September 26.
