Dog Attack Injures Boy in Lahore Amid Rising Pet Animal Incidents
A young boy named Fawad was seriously hurt after being attacked by dogs. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. CCTV footage shows the boy falling into a puddle of water, and then one of the dogs, standing nearby, suddenly attacked him. A person walking by saw what happened and quickly helped save the boy.
According to the police report filed at Ichhra police station, Fawad had left his house to go to a nearby shop when two stray dogs and one pet dog attacked him. The pet dog is said to belong to a man named Anwar.
The boy’s father filed a complaint, saying that Anwar did nothing to stop the attack. He believes Anwar is responsible for the carelessness that caused his son’s injuries.
This incident is part of a growing problem in Lahore, where even pet animals have become dangerous. Not long ago, a pet lion attacked three people in another part of the city.
In that case, a man was arrested in the Shah Di Khui area of Lahore for keeping a lion without a license. The lion attacked a family and injured two children and an adult.
The Wildlife Department took the lion and moved it to a safe animal sanctuary. A case was registered against the lion’s owner, Malik Bahram, under the Wildlife Act and for attempted murder.
That attack happened at a farmhouse in Johar Town. The lion escaped through a weak enclosure, jumped over a wall, and attacked people on a nearby street. The injured victims were taken to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
