Education should be free
The word education is derived from the Latin word “educare” which means to bring up or to teach. Thus, education plays a vital role in our up-bringing. To teach someone about the moral values, societal norms, religions, way of living etc. are also a part of education. Education isn’t only about holding a pencil but also about how to respect others, how to be better human, how to make people happy and so more. This is what helps us in our personal development, too.
Every human gets basic education from home. Our elders are our first teachers because they teach us the manners and etiquettes. Then, gradually we are sent to schools from where we gain information about the world. But, we also learn from schools a lot of things other than this. We learn interacting, sharing, bonding, enjoying, and most importantly; discipline. Though schools charge a lot for making us a better human, our parents never compromise a bit. However, not everyone is as blessed as we are.
There are a lot of humans, unlike us, who are unable to pay school fees. Thus, there children suffer from lack of education. Because of poverty, they can’t afford sending their children to educational institutes. This becomes a major reason of flaws in their personality development. In spite, knowing all this, the education isn’t freed.
Every child deserves to be educated. Each person deserves to be a better human. But how is all this possible without education? It isn’t. This is why we must free the education so that every person can have a privilege to be educated. Free education would save thousands of lives from being wasted. It would make humans the best creatures to exist. It would make the world a better place to live in.
