Gas supply for all sectors restored to normal: Hammad Azhar

On Monday, Federal Minister of Energy Hammad Azhar announced that no forced load shedding has occurred in the country since Friday. Gas supply for all sectors restored to normal.

The energy minister announced on Twitter that forced load shedding has lifted on Friday evening. Also, Gas supply for all sectors restored to normal.

Forced load shedding has eliminated on Friday evening. Today we are restoring normal gas supply and pressures to all sectors.

RLNG supplies 100% restoration achieved.

He also stated that regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) supplies have also restored to 100 percent capacity.

On July 2, Federal Minister of Energy Hammad Azhar announced that 40% of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) supply system had restored. However, the power and gas systems will upgrade beginning Monday.

During a news conference today, Hammad Azhar stated that Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) was not suffering a gas shortage.

Furthermore, he confirmed that electricity shortfall had witnessed due to a shortage of water in the Tarbela Dam. However, power output will boost within two days.

The federal minister chastised those who attempted to politicize the subject of power outages. He also stated that the administration is solving the energy crisis and that improvements in the power and gas systems will be seen beginning Monday.
