Hajj 2026 Registration Opens for Pakistanis at Home and Abroad
The Ministry of Religious Affairs says that anyone who wants to go for Hajj in 2026 must register in advance — this applies to both the government and private Hajj plans. There is no fee for registration. Pakistanis living abroad also need to complete the registration.
The last date to register is July 9. Only those who register on time will be allowed to go for Hajj in 2026. People can register at 15 selected banks across Pakistan.
A spokesperson from the ministry said that this process follows the rules set by the Saudi government. The total number of people who register will help decide how many Hajj spots Pakistan will get.
Hajj 2026: Advance Registration Required
In Hajj 2025, 18 Pakistani pilgrims passed away.
This year, 1,673,230 people performed the Hajj. Out of these, 1,506,576 came from 171 different countries, while 166,654 were local (Saudi) pilgrims.
Saudi Arabia also reported that the gender balance was one of the best ever — 877,841 men and 795,389 women took part.
Because of the extreme heat last year that caused 1,301 deaths, Saudi authorities used strong cooling systems this year to keep pilgrims safe. Temperatures had gone up to 51.8°C (125°F) in the past.
