Humaira Asghar’s Family Suspects Foul Play in Mysterious Death

KARACHI – July 17, 2025 — In their first public statement since the tragic death of model and actor Humaira Asghar, her family has raised serious concerns about the circumstances surrounding her passing, suggesting possible foul play.

Humaira’s father, speaking in an emotional interview, expressed suspicion of murder. “The way she was lying on the floor shows the involvement of a wicked person — someone who does not fear Allah,” he said. He firmly denied financial hardship as a possible cause. “My son found new clothes in her closet. She donated to orphanages regularly. She was not struggling,” he added.

The family also criticized the inaction of her neighbors. “They admitted hearing her scream, yet no one intervened. Why?” her mother questioned, visibly distressed by the silence of those living nearby.

Humaira’s body was discovered on July 8, 2025, when Gizri Police, along with a court bailiff, broke into her apartment in the Ittehad Commercial Area to enforce an eviction order due to unpaid rent. Authorities found the main and balcony doors locked from the inside, indicating she was likely alone at the time of death.

Neighbors had earlier reported a foul smell, but detection was delayed as the adjacent apartment remained unoccupied until early 2025.

Double Identity and Legal Troubles
According to investigators, Humaira Asghar was allegedly using two CNICs (Computerized National Identity Cards) — a fact currently under official scrutiny. She had reportedly defaulted on rent since April 2024, prompting her landlord to pursue legal action.

A Life of Talent and Expression
Born on October 10, 1992, in Lahore, Humaira Asghar Ali was a graduate of the National College of Arts (NCA), holding degrees in Fine Arts, Television, and Film. She later completed her M.Phil from Punjab University.

Humaira began her career as a model in 2013, working with Pakistan’s top designers, before moving into acting. She appeared in multiple dramas and gained national attention for her role in the film Jalaibee (2015). In 2022, her appearance on Tamasha Ghar, a reality show, elevated her celebrity status.

She was also a gifted painter and sculptor, with a strong interest in fitness. Her creative and wellness content attracted over 715,000 Instagram followers. Her final post, shared on September 30, 2024, did not indicate any distress, though her declining social media presence hinted at possible personal struggles.
