India vs England Final Test Match Hangs in Balance After Day 3
The final Test match between India and England is exciting and still open for both teams.
On the third day, England quickly bowled out India in the morning. Fast bowler Gus Atkinson was the star, taking five wickets. India started at 204-6 and were all out for 224.
England then batted aggressively. Openers Zac Crawley and Ben Duckett scored 92 runs in just 12 overs. It was the fastest 50-run opening stand by England in Test history. Duckett hit a reverse hook shot for six, thrilling the crowd. He was out for 43, while Crawley made 64.
But India’s bowlers fought back. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took important wickets. England went from a strong position at 109-1 to being all out for 247. Siraj and Krishna both took four wickets each. Harry Brook scored 53 before being bowled by Siraj.
In India’s second innings, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal batted quickly and stayed unbeaten on 51 runs, even though he was dropped once. India ended the day at 75-2 and now leads by 52 runs.
England’s batting coach Marcus Trescothick said the match is in a good position and praised the bold playing style of the team. He said being brave and creative helped them score fast at the start.
