Kangana Ranaut stands with Israel

Indian star Kangana Ranaut has shown her support for Israel in an unexpected way. Amidst Israel’s continuous barrage of attacks on Palestine, this action has sparked a fresh round of criticism. The State of Israel’s official X (formerly Twitter) account thanked Ranaut for her support by sharing a photo of her with Israel’s ambassador to India, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan, Naor Gilon.

This is at a time when a large number of Indian right-wingers have already expressed openly on social media how much they favor Israel. It also occurs at a time when Israel’s recent confrontations have caused the Palestinian side to suffer terrible losses. As the world observes these developments, Ranaut’s open support of Israel has elicited praise and criticism.

Ranaut also posted pictures of herself with the ambassador on her personal Instagram, writing, “Had a soulful meeting with Israel’s ambassador to Bharat, Shri Naor Gilon ji.” “Today the whole world, especially Israel and India, are fighting their war against terrorism,” says an additional translation of her Hindi statement. When I traveled to Delhi yesterday to burn Ravana, I thought the Israel Embassy ought to visit with individuals who are taking down terrorist organizations like the contemporary Ravana Hamas.”

The celebrity went on, “It is heartbreaking how women and small children are being attacked. I sincerely hope that Israel prevails in its conflict with terrorists. I spoke with them about Tejas, my next movie, and Tejas, India’s independent fighter jet.”

Public personalities’ influence on public discourse will probably continue to be a topic of discussion and interest as long as the situation in Israel and Palestine persists. The way that public figures’ words and deeds affect international issues is evidence of how interconnected our world is—a single tweet can have a worldwide impact.
