Mumbai Crime Branch has taken the gunmen in the Salman Khan shooting incident into custody
Investigating the gunshot incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Bandra West home on April 14, the Mumbai Crime Branch moved quickly. Mumbai police confirmed the news, stating that Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, the accused, were captured in Gujarat’s Bhuj district.
The two, who left Mumbai after the incident, will be returned to the city on Tuesday for more questioning, according to reports from ANI and Hindustan Times. Later in the day, they are scheduled to appear in court to address the accusations relating to the incident.
Following the suspects’ photographs becoming viral on social media, the arrests were made. Four bullets were fired from a motorbike during the around five in the morning incident outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartments before the attackers ran away. Thankfully, no injuries were recorded, and Salman’s presence in the house when the event was verified.
After the shooting, the suspects reportedly abandoned their motorcycle outside of a neighboring church and walked to the Bandra train station. They took a train to the Santacruz station, where they leased another autorickshaw. Interestingly, Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of notorious criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, was named as the perpetrator of the attack on social media.
Gupta and Pal’s arrest represents a major development in the investigation as investigators try to determine the reason for the shooting and any possible connections to criminal groups. Mumbai police are anticipated to provide more information about the suspects and their role in the crime as the inquiry progresses.
Arbaaz Khan refuted claims that the incident was a publicity ploy in a statement released in the wake of the terrifying events. “The recent incident of firing by two unidentified persons on a motorcycle at Galaxy Apartments, the residence of the Salim Khan family, is very disturbing and unnerving,” said Salman’s brother on Instagram. This startling occurrence that occurred has shocked our family.”
He went on, “Unfortunately, certain persons who pose as our family’s close friends and allies and make vague claims to the media that this is all just a PR act and the family is unaffected are untrue and should not be taken seriously. Regarding this occurrence, no Salim Khan family member has spoken to the media.”
“At this time the family is helping and cooperating with the police in the investigation of this untoward incident,” the post said. We trust the Mumbai police, and we’ve been told they’ll do all within their power to keep our family safe. I appreciate all of your kindness and support, everyone.
