At a fundraiser, Biden called Trump and Cruz “losers” and makes fun of them
During a fundraiser, US President Joe Biden called senator Ted Cruz and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump “losers” and made fun of them.
According to the Daily Mail, Biden, 81, ridiculed Trump, 77, his debt and his inability to raise money.
Speaking at the event on Wednesday, he revealed that his campaign had raised $53 million in February, compared to $10.9 million announced by Trump’s campaign.
In the first of two Texas fundraisers, held in Dallas, Biden declared that he had raised $2.5 million for his reelection campaign.
Speaking of candidates, he asked contributors to back Colin Allred in his campaign against Cruz.
He said, “You’ve got to elect Colin as your next senator, so Ted Cruz joins another loser, Donald Trump.”
Moreover, in front of a hundred or so spectators, he made fun of the outgoing president’s “crushing debt.”
“This defeated-looking man approached me the other day and said, ‘Mr. President, I need your help.'” I have a mountain of debt. I’m at my very best exhausted.”
Speaking about his response to his opponent, Biden said, “Donald, I apologize. I’m not able to assist you,” the audience laughed.
In addition, he made light of his age, joking that “it’s about the age of our ideals” and stating, “I’m 41.”
The Texas immigration statute, which permits state police to detain and expel anybody they believe is entering the country illegally, was another issue that the president attacked his opponent for causing problems at the border.
“Trump didn’t just bring chaos to Americans,” he stated. Additionally, he caused mayhem at the US border.”
