“Statewide, vaping is a major issue in secondary schools”

Syed Zulfiqar Hussain, a consultant for the Anti-Drugs, Narcotics Campaign, has voiced worries about the harmful effects that electronic nicotine delivery devices, such vape pens and e-cigarettes, have on children’s health.

Hussain clarified that the composition of this dangerous e-cigarette, which was poisonous to people and may result in health problems, included a number of dangerous substances, including nicotine. “Vaping is a serious problem that affects secondary schools all over the country.”

He emphasized that kids needed to take responsibility for their own safety as well as helping to prevent drug use from destroying their community. He said that the younger generation is not listening to anti-smoking and anti-drug programs and that parents and teachers should work together to prevent young people from becoming drug victims.

According to the expert, kids who are addicted to nicotine may have trouble focusing in class, having trouble falling asleep, anxiety, restlessness, impatience, irritation, rage, and intense cravings for nicotine when they are exposed to the drug again. He insisted, “In the context of Pakistan, academics and policymakers must gather data and should conduct research to show a causal relationship between youth e-cigarette experimentation and later tobacco addiction.”
